USA Renews "Sirens" for 2nd Season
USA Renews "Sirens" for Second Season
Jun 11, 2014 by Kate Stanhope The EMTs on USA's "Sirens" are getting called back for another shift. The half-hour comedy from Denis Leary (Rescue Me) and Bob Fisher (Wedding Crashers) has been renewed for a 13-episode second season, the network announced Wednesday. "Sirens" stars Michael Mosley, Kevin Daniels, Kevin Bigley and Jessica McNamee, and marked USA's first foray into half-hour comedies. Adapted from the 2011 British series of the same name, the show debuted to 1.32 million viewers in March and currently ranks as basic cable's No. 1 new comedy of 2014. USA has since launched a second half-hour comedy, "Playing House", which wraps its first season next week. "Sirens resonated with a broad fan base, and we are excited to grow this new audience further, as season two promises a lot more laughs and irreverent humor," USA Network president Chris McCumber said in a statement. "We're pleased to continue our partnership with Denis Leary and Bob Fisher, whose unique brand of witty, off-kilter and laugh-out-loud writing is brought to life by the immensely talented cast." http://www.tvguide.com/News/USA-Rene...s-1082879.aspx |
