Why did Norman Lear try so hard to get Esther Roller to come back in season 6 when...
the ratings for the show was already in falling in season 4 when she on the show so what the hell was she supposed to do in season 6 when the show was already done?

They could have just left her out of the show and mention her and Carl from time to time. Instead, we got that horrible re-write about how Carl never existed. Very lame and insulting to the viewers in my opinion.
