Default how it should have ended

How would you have liked Roseanne to end? Personally I think it's 8th season should have been the last. It should have ended with Darlene and David getting married. But Dan never having the heart attack. DJ going off to college would have been great and Becky finally going off to college as well. Leaving Dan and Roseanne just with little Jerry to raise. Also Jackie remarrying her dream man would have been nice.

ANYTHING would've been better than the garbage we were served up in the final Episode.

I gotta agree most episodes in the last season were pathetic.

Season nine can start with Dan still recovering from his heart attack and the fight with Roseanne. Instead of the family winning the lottery, Dan gets better enough to continue with the construction project they went out for in season eight. It provides more economic stability for the family.

In the early part of the season, Gary (from season three) returns to Landford and reconnects with Jackie - with him hitting it off with Andy. The two's relationship picks up right where it left off and, in the finale, they wed - thus giving Jackie the happiness she's been searching for all these years.

Darlene almost losing the baby can stay, as I felt that was a pretty good plot device and fit well with the typical theme of the show.

The final shot of the show could be at Jackie's wedding, with the family lined up for a family photo - everyone from Nanna to even Crystal (who should have been brought back for at least one episode in the final season).

I heart this ending!

I can't even remember anything about Dan having a "construction project" at the end of Season 8. My interest in the show had waned so much I didn't know what was going on. I can only vaguely remember Darlene & David's wedding.

Out of all the losers Jackie seemed to hook up with Gary seemed like the only decent Guy. Fred was kinda ok too I guess.

I agree with all of you - all of the last season was horrific. I want to add too, I felt Jackie became alot stranger once she became pregnant and even worse as the show wet on. I never cared for Fred and I thought Gary and even Booker would have been better for her. I don't think Jackie and Fred ever fell in love with each other. They may have loved each other other but they didn't seem "in love", or at least Jakie wasn't in love with Fred.

I agree David was such a nice handsome young man. I don't know what he saw in her.
