I have to be honest, I think Season 4 was the peak of Rhoda.

I think the show unfortunately experienced a rapid decline in Season 5 without Gary Levy around, but no one ever talks about Rafael Campos not working at the costume shop like he did in Season 4. The Ramon Diaz character was good for a lot of laughs. I don't know if they fired Rafael or if he quit, but I thought he did well on the show. I could see why some might have found Ramon Diaz to be offensive to Hispanics because he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he made me laugh.

I do think it would have been better for ratings if Brenda got with Gary instead of Benny. Benny is just kind of blah.

But I thought the Jack Doyle addition was great. And it was nice to have Nancy Walker and Harold Gould back for season 4.

I think it was a mistake in Season 5 to have Martin leave Ida. The writers should have known better than to go to milk that cow again. Martin and Ida should have always been the happy couple.
