The star of "Modern Family" is the highest-paid actor on television, bringing in an impressive $30 million last year. Like the rest of her sitcom "Family", Vergara makes $175,000 an episode, but the bulk of the Emmy-nominee's worth comes from lucrative endorsements and licensing deals.

She's the face of Diet Pepsi and CoverGirl, among others, and the Sofia Vergara brand continues to grow; her line of clothing at Kmart brings young and Hispanic shoppers into the stores, and Vergara just launched her first fragrance for HSN.

Off-camera, she's trying her hand at producing. The talent management and entertainment-marketing firm she co-founded, Latin World Entertainment, brings in an estimated $35 million in revenues and last year launched a social platform, NuevoWorld, to connect Latino celebs and their fans. They also teamed up with CNET to launch a Spanish-language tech news site.

Why is she the highest sitcom actress on television? I don't get that.

What was she in before Modern Family. I guess I can look up on IMDB, but I still do not get her.

The best looking adult woman on Modern Family is Julie Bowen (Claire). And this comes from someone who prefers dark haired, brown eyed ethnic women. I am a detractor of her, and just dont much care for her character. I do not dislike her and she is a good foil for the older Ed O'Neill character.

I dont even necessarily find her that attractive.
