If Keith Worked For The Cab Company by Driving A Cab, That Requires A Driver's License, Why Was He Riding The Bus To Get To Work To Drive A Cab :lol

Was there any mention of Keith having or not having a car? There could've been any number of reasons for taking the bus. Having a drivers' license doesn't always mean the person owns a car.

I cannot recall any mention of Keith having a Driver's License and that part should have been covered regarding Keith as a cab driver for the writers script storyline, ....., some people drive cars without drivers licenses...and this topic case is about Keith working for the cab company that requires a driver's license.

Why would they need to mention anything about a drivers' license? That makes no sense. Many sitcom characters have had jobs driving cabs or other vehicles and unless the script calls for a specific reason to mention a license such as being stopped by a cop or maybe forgetting their wallet then I can see no reason to mention it.

You're right, some people do drive cars without a license but I seriously doubt that Keith would've gotten the job without having one.

I think Keith having a driver's license would have made sense to be mentioned; because he was riding the bus to get to work as a "cab driver"......

having a driver's license does not mean owning a car, and you can't drive a license to get to the cab company.

When Thelma and Keith were dating it was mentioned he was driving a Cadillac. I doubt his meager salary as a cab driver afforded him money to buy a car; especially if he couldn't afford rent for he and Thelma to have a place of their own. Most cab companies don't allow employees to take the cabs home, so he took a bus to the home base.

Well that means that he probably did not report his income, or being married to the Chicago Housing Authority while living in the projects meaning that the rent will go up and or they were in violation of too many people living in a 2 bedroom project apartment, because I am sure he had to fill out an application for employment answering the questons honestly.
