Just started on the West Coast
I wish the narrator was the same as the regular series. |

I would say my final ranking for this special is a 9 out of 10. It's almost on-par with the regular Disappeared series, but my only problem with it was how the "live" aspect of it made things seem a little too dramatic. I didn't think it was necessary to have to openly here the camera crew asking them questions. It was never like that in the 85 episodes of Disappeared.
Otherwise, it was a good special. But in the last few minutes, I felt sad because I just knew that this is probably the last Disappeared related event to air on ID

Watching this a second time, the intro is so cheesy that it's embarrassing. Thank god the special overall was almost at the same quality as the regular series.

Well, I'm going to leave my input on this case now that it's been a couple days.
- I think the ex-boyfriend did it. How convenient is it that she drives all the way out there and just as soon as she does, it only takes him SECONDS to start the car up again. On top of that, if Charli was leaving in the same direction as him, then why was her dog, clothes and car all found in different places outside of her driving path? He killed her. Though I can understand why he wouldn't be happy about the pregnancy: I don't think any man who has been broken up with their ex for over a year would want a baby with them. It just gives me Ross/Rachel tease with this. At least Nala wasn't harmed. I would have been so furious if her killer harmed Nala too. |

I guess I'm in the minority because I thought it was lackluster. I don't know why they labeled this as a Disappeared special because this seemed like a completely different show, not the Disappeared I know. At least with that show there was so much more mystery and creepiness involved. I'm not saying it makes a missing person case any less important, just it seemed (at least to me) far more different than a regular episode it seemed like another show entirely.

This special is airing one more time on Sunday night, probably as a lead-in to the premiere of Last Seen Alive. |

Boy, Charli's family was certainly foul-mouthed, weren't they?
I really scratch my head that the police were certain she had been murdered without finding the remains. Granted, she probably was murdered, but I'm wondering what evidence they had. Honestly, I'm not totally sold the boyfriend was involved. It was said that Charli's burned out van was found in a really bad section of town. This happening at night increases the odds she might have run into shady characters. I'm not saying I believe the boyfriend is totally innocent, but there's some doubt. |

I know it's a cliche, but I think her boyfriend most likely killed her. He had no interest in supporting Charli and his child. In addition, he showed no interest helping the search for Charli. His criminal record doesn't help either. http://mauinow.com/2014/04/14/steven...burglary-case/ |
