Default Season Four - episode of your choice?

I often wonder if they would have kept up with the look-alikes if there was a season four. Perhaps have Skipper's look-alike, or Mary Ann's.

If there was a season four, this is the episode I would have liked to see:

A show about each and every cast member before the three-hour tour. Showing Mary Ann winning the tickets, the Howells and how they chose the tour over a huge yacht, Ginger trying to get away from the sailors, etc.

It would have been funny to see the Skipper and Gilligan docking from the previous cruise with the three originals from the pilot: the teacher, Bunny, and (was it Ginger?).

Yes, it was Ginger, but she was a very different Ginger to the one we know and love

A pre-shipwreck episode would be awesome. A chance to see the castaways on the mainland, maybe even with family members. Gilligan and the Skipper on the SS Minnow doing their thing. I'd have liked to see that, too.

I would have liked to see some sort of relationship building between Mary Ann and Gilligan, and the Professor and Ginger, but Tina didn't want to be in a fourth season so that would have upset the balance somewhat.

To be honest I think the episodes would have just gotten sillier and more cartoony and eventually would have jumped the shark altogether.

With 7 stranded castaways, it would appear that two seasons would be stretching it. But, the shows continue to entertain me in the 3rd season. In the 3rd season, I've noticed a lot more dream sequences. Scherwood noted that the cast liked the dream sequences. It gave them to do things other than island related.

I often thought the same thing. They had 3 look a-likes out of 7 castaways? What are the odds of this?

I also thought this:
A pre-shipwreck episode would be awesome. A chance to see the castaways on the mainland, Gilligan and the Skipper on the SS Minnow doing their thing. I'd have liked to see that. Or even, them all remembering in a flash back episode of the day they got on the SS Minnow.

I heard that too, how they liked the dream sequences. so do more of them then. I enjoyed them as well.

I didn't know Tina didn't want to be in a fourth season. A replacement Ginger would have been weird. just like "fake Jan" .

I love the idea about pre-shipwrecked stories: In fact, it would've made for a nice "by the campfire" episode. Each castaway telling about how they came to be on the Minnow.

Also in a previous 4th season thread, I posted an outline for ideas on how to deal with Tina Louise wanting to leave and bringing a new face to the island, and a suggestion if a 4th season would've been the last season. I you'd like to take a look at it and other 4th season postings, here's a link to that thread.
