saw "Hirsh" tonight (Ian Wolfe) surprsingly in a Twlighlight Zone episode...the episode was "My Uncle Simon"- which was more on the comical side, about some smart alleck/demanding freakish robot. But what was really weird was "Hirsh" looked exactly the same as he did when he was on WKRP...put him under the betty white file- was he ever young??...the guy must have been at least 80 when he did KRP.

Alex goes to the hospital to see his father- who he hasn't
seen in many, many years- and starts pouring his
heart out to Hirsh, who he thinks is his father!
Very funny scene.

oh, i remember that ep! havent seen it for 10 yrs probably, and i didnt pay attention that that was hirsh. that was funny ep.

What a truly great character!! I always liked when they would show momma Carlsons living room and Hirsh would be lying on the sofa, or he would down a martini while she wasn't looking.

Ian Wolfe played the man Alex mistook for his father on Taxi in 1979.
Alex was played by Judd Hirsch.

In 1980 Ian Wolfe portrays Hirsch (correct spelling) on WKRP.

Now that is no coincidence!
