...what would you do?

I would bring 100s of dollars and buy lots of all this

M&Ms plain
Milky Way Bars
3 Musketeers
Hershey Bars (These changed 10 yrs ago to using SOY LECITHIN instead of SOYA LECITHIN (Which they had used for years) and as a result the bars and too sweet))

All the rest have changed since then and taste like crap (SKIM MILK IS USED INSTEAD OF REG MILK)

I would also get a good Walkman

Then i guess i would go skating at a roller skating rink (BOY DO I MISS DOING THAT,WE HAVE A RINK IN MY AREA BUT I DO NOT WANNA HEAR THIS CRAP/GARBAGE MUSIC THEY PLAY NOW!!)

I cant believe what I read on this idiots site,HE CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!

What a freak to say this about THE LAST GOOD DECADE EVER!! (Stuff started getting worse in the 80s)

You'd better use old money cause they wouldn't accept our current money. I'd go visit my family who were still alive back then.

I'd tape all the shows that were on TV from NBC to MTV...I'll need 25 TV's and VCR's, go to a bank and deposit $100, tell Hal Cooper to put "Gimme a Break" on ABC, tell the Cleveland Browns to replay "The Drive" so they're ready to kick Elway butt and have a better playbook, and it would all happen on April 21, 1987 so I can have a copy of my Easter tape before I **** it up and the other doesn't get ****ed with pop.

I would go back and tape so many TV shows from their original broadcasts. Some of them even continued well into the 1990's.

I would also tape so many movies off of HBO/Cinemax/Movie Channel/Showtime.

I would buy a few American muscle cars, like a '71 Hemi-'Cuda convertible, store them for about 30 years, and sell them for about $100,000 each.

Assuming that I only have 24 hours....

I'd record the first 24 hours of MTV

I'd bring back to the present day all the New Coke, Crystal Pepsi and Marathon bars I could carry

I would purchase all the 1985 Star Company sets & 1986 Fleer NBA basketball card boxes with Jordan rookies instead of wasting money on the baseball card boxes that I originally did.

I would revisit my grandparents restaurant one final time.

The guy missed some things from the 80's that truly did suck.

As with any thread on time travel, I'd more than likely take pictures and artifacts of things I knew existed, but can no longer prove, get revenge on those who did me wrong, and call out many of the things I knew were lies.

Assuming that I'm returning to the early-1980's, maybe I'd try riding on the remaining part of the Jamaica El that was still actually in Jamaica.

Again, depending on which part of the '80's I return to, I'd also tape some songs I can no longer find.

New Coke was awful, the only reason I'd want to bring it back to the present day is to unload it on Ebay. Crystal Pepsi I'd drink and sell some also.

If I had a 2nd choice on a time in the 80's would be December 8, 1980 at the Dakota Apartments in New York...I'd try to save John Lennon from Mark David Chapman.

Should I tackle Chapman or Lennon?

I'd go back to 1989.

I'd visit many relatives no longer living.

Take plenty of pictures of people and also establishments that have gone out of business.

I'd also visit my old elementary school.

And I'd go back and tape many old sports broadcasts from my youth, just so I could have a time capsule of the many faces of the networks in my youth (Bob Costas, Al Michaels, Jim Nantz, Brent Musburger, Irv Cross, etc.); of course, I seem to be well on the way with the many DVDs of old games that I have.
