Default Stephen Marfeo

Man, what a bizarre individual this guy was. I knew he was full of it from his very incriminating statement "if you have something, bring it forward." The default sociopath arrogant statement. Thoughts on this case? Anyone have any further info on his suicide, homocide?

Watched this on today's UM. IDK what I think; he didn't adit to the murder in his note. Maybe her disappearance really did just unravel his life?

There is that possibility but where there is smoke, there is fire. If you can shoot someone and yourself then your more than capable of your wife's disappearance 9 months later.

The way he exploded and shot at his ex and her boyfriend make me think that he was a very insecure individual who enjoyed control and was rapidly losing it throughout his life. I don't think there was any chance he would have admitted to what he did without evidence, but I'm fairly certain he did it.

Man, though. That update is one of the creepiest, especially since the last person in the segment is Stephen Marfeo himself.

It's interesting to note that Stephen killed his girlfriend (and himself) years later....

I lived in the area for most of my life until I moved a few years ago. I remember when I was working at Stop n Shop in Johnston when I was 15, there was a missing poster for Doreen Marfeo. A lot of people always believed Stephen is guilty. Always creepy when an unsolved mysteries segment happens so close to you.

Good point.

I can't remember - has her body been found? I'm thinking it wasn't.

According to Doreen Marfeo's Charley Project page, Stephen left a suicide note for his mother which expressed feelings of guilt over Doreen's disappearance. I guess that's as close as we're going to come to a confession from him.

Yeah, that was one creepy ending to that segment [especially considering how Doreen's own family were adamant that Stephen was innocent of anything to do with Doreen's disappearance]!
I know that both parties are dead and there's no way to know but I wonder how long had Stephen been dating his ex girlfriend before the split- and could he have directly or indirectly told her anything re Doreen's fate and after that they were split might have been worried she'd sing? Not that I'm in any way blaming her for the crime against her and her new boyfriend but I just wonder if it may have been more than jealousy over her finding someone new that contributed this his ultimate decisions re murder and suicide?

I saw this segment on the Farina version the other day (it comes on at 5am PT weekdays on Lifetime) and they mentioned that "a few years" after Doreen disappeared Steven Marfeo killed his former girlfriend and himself in front of her new boyfriend. Yikes. Unfortunately, Doreen hasn't been found.

Does anyone know what the update says on the Bob Stack version? My copy cuts out right after it says "Stephan believe the woman he was dating..."

IIRC, it was just a text update that basically said he murdered his ex girlfriend, wounded her new boyfriend before killing himself. He didn't mention anything about Doreen however.
