Default I Bought ILL on Blu-Ray....Not Worth The Price. WDYT?

So, I bought my copy through Amazon for $86 (tax & shipping) and is it just me, or what is the real difference here from past releases?

I don't see great Blu-ray quality here. I see a lot of grainy film footage, episode quality that does not really differ from past releases and the exact same bonus features that were in the complete series release. The only difference: endless advertisements for Philip Morris cigarettes.

My decision: Not wasting my money on any more ILL releases until they colorize them.

Default I agree

While the episodes do look clearer than the DVD release..... This set isn't justified for the extreme price tag......

The special features are nice but not worth the extra money..... I probably will not be buying further seasons on blu ray unless they are twenty bucks. Instead of having the commercials intact I would have rather seen the entire first season in color and no special features other than the color aspect.

Amazon has it now for $59.99 but it'll probably go lower than that sooner or later. I'm not buying it now, I'll wait a year or so to see how/if the price dips.

I do want this show on Blu-ray but I am not paying that outrageous price for just one season. The ONLY show I would do that for is Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I'm afraid I am going to have to agree with you. I got my copy in the mail today and I am very disappointed in the quality of the video. Where do I start? First, the episodes are in square box form and not widescreen like my other dvd copy which was the very first set ever sold. The pink big box sets. Yes, the black lines and specs of debris are gone from the original dvd release but the picture does look very grainy. There are some episodes that look better than others ...The Lucy does a commercial looks worse than the Lucy gets stuck in the freezer episode. The episodes are just too grainy to be Blu Ray quality even Little House on The Prairie on Blu Ray has a much better picture for a much lower price. This set is nowhere near worth the 80 dollars or the sale price of 59 dollars. If you want the black lines and debris off of the original set I'd wait till the price drops. I will not be buying season 2 until all the grainy material is fixed. I will stay with my original box set..so disappointed in this release.

I still haven't made up my mind about buying ILL on Blu.

I do agree about the quality of the LHOTP Blus....to me, they're superb. I got season 2 in the mail today!

The IIL Blu Ray gets rid of the black flickering lines and debris...compared my original to the Blu Ray but like I posted the eppys look way too grainy to be called blu ray. I also got season 2 of LHOTP...love the picture quality of the show and the price you can not beat!

I've got to say that the main menu graphics are awesome!! Very bright and very very colorful...true blu ray quality.

I appreciate the reviews of the ILL Rlu-rays. I was thinking about buying Season One, but the price seemed very steep. Since the quality isn't much better than the DVDs, I'll wait for them to come down in price a bit.

Honestly, for what they're charging for this, everyone should have had a product they'd want to dance with.

So much for these " new" "improved " Blu ray releases; sticking with my DVDs.

Umm, no. They were NEVER widescreen. If you were/are seeing them in widescreen, something isn't set right in your playback settings.
