Only 1 in 1000 cats will be an orange female.

I just posted on a Brady Bunch thread about orange tabbies being mainly males! I love cats!!!

See the Batman thread, Lee Meriweather, Eartha Kitt or Julie Newmar. There are a couple of pictures of Julie Newmar holding adorable cats!

That's interesting because I have one. She does have a little bit of white on her too so maybe she doesn't count.

Sure she counts, even with white on her, she's still an orange tabby. How cool, she is very special being one of the few orange tabby females!

I notice that whenever I see a cat in a movie, commercial or tv show it's usually an orange one. Better actors? Their color shows up better on film? Any guesses?

You are right. A lot of orange tabbies. The most famous cats are orange, like Morris and even in cartoons. Garfield! I've had several cats growing up, and the orange tabbies seem to have fun personalities, they tend to take to people well. I don't remember ever having a shy orange cat.

She counts. Polly has a white chin, and she's definitely an orange tabby. Dark orange, actually...she's more reddish than orange.

How cool. You have a female orange tabby too!

The orange tabbies are cool. Their colors can range from a very light, almost cream color to yellow, to orange and to the reddish dark orange like Polly . I bet she is adorable!!!
