I don't suppose anyone knows unless they ask one of the girls, but I wonder if Lisa, Mindy, and Kim ever went out together to watch their "old pal" Molly in her big box office hits "Sixteen Candles", "The Breakfast Club", and "Pretty in Pink"? Kind of like an old-school Eastland outing, haha.
I also wondered why it's always been considered such a big deal that getting cut from FOL was Molly's "big break" for her in becoming Hollywood's teen queen, but I hadn't realized that TV actors couldn't do movies if they were contracted with a series; at least to a large degree, apparently. So I guess if Molly Ringwald had been retained as Molly Parker, teen angst wouldn't be what we know it as today, lol. Check out Mindy discussing this in an interview, and of also missing out on a part in "St. Elmo's Fire" because of this (IMO though she didn't miss much; I LOVE '80s movies, including the Brat Pack films, but I saw SEF once and just did not care for it other than the theme song). Gotta agree with Robyrob. Those three films were huge. I guarantee the FOL girls saw them, probably multiple times.

I'm sure they did too, I just wonder if they went out to see them together since they knew Molly. I like to think that they did, lol.

That would have been nice. I do know that Nancy and Lisa were roommates for a while, so maybe they saw them during a roomie movie night.

I would imagine they supported their old friend Molly when she hit it big with those classic box office hits of the 80's.

Or maybe they just watched them when they came out on VHS.
