Default Holly Krewson

This case is one that has tragically sunk without a trace , there seems to have been very little progress that was ever made since the segment and there isnt much info out there. Have there been any developments since the segment was aired?

Her body was found the year after she vanished but not identified until after her mother had passed away. The killer has never been identified, but my money is on the boyfriend. Repeated domestic abuse, waving a gun around, anger issues, being the last one seen with her...I don't give a flying fig if he passed a polygraph exam. He really should have been looked into more than he was.

Interesting stuff , I have wondered about that boyfriend - is there any chance that he sorted his anger issues and stayed on the right side of the law all these years ?

I wonder why she's still on The Doe Network?

The remains found & yrs later claimed to be identified as Holly Michelle Krewson through dental records cant be Hollys. I know this for a fact. I worked with Holly at a strip club that was called Escapades, in West Chester Ohio in 1996. We had to pay our taxes every night so the IRS has records of that. She was living with Jack Sutton & his friend called Humby in a hotel in Mariemont Oh. I am the person that made her call her mom, I paid for that long distance call from a pay phone at the club we worked at. At that time I did not know she was classified as a missing person, all I knew was that she witnessed something that scared her & that the 3 were running from what ever it was. The last time I saw Holly was on August 23, 1996 in West Chester, Oh at Escapades on Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. & I-75 4 days before her birthday. I quit my job that night, not long after the club was shut down. I wish I knew more then & where she really is now. When I found out she was classified as a missing person in 2006 I contacted the Le Mesa PD & told them this information. 2 months later she was identified through dental records that didn't match that body when Holly's mother Gwen was alive ?

I agree it is fishy that Holly was identified shortly after you contacted police and after Holly's mom died. And I don't understand why Holly is still listed as missing on the Doe Network.

Holly is listed as missing since March 4, 1995 (on Doe Network). But this isn't accurate if she called her mom at some later point and was with you at that time. Her real missing date would be some time after August 23, 1996.

How long would you guess Holly worked at Escapades? Did her family report her missing (March 1995), she moved away and then got a job at Escapades? I am just wondering why police did not come there to talk to her co-workers (makes sense if police did not know where she was working).

Even though I think that this identification is questionable, I believe it could be Holly. It seems as if Jane Doe was found in 1996. And you last saw Holly August 23, 1996. So that would still leave four months for for her to be killed and her body to be located.

Still think there is something shady going on with IDing the body, though. The UT San Diego article posted by Tap Dancer says Holly was found and buried in 1996. I wonder how long morgues normally keep unidentified bodies before they are buried?

We really to know what date Jane Doe was discovered.

Too bad Holly's mom isn't around to request the remains be exhumed and tested by DNA.

I don't see any motivation for the police to be untruthful, unless lostsoulsearcher's call prompted them to relook at the case and at that point in time they realized they'd overlooked something originally (not submitted correctly, etc.).

The UT San Diego article reads,

"But a break in the case came didn't come until last month, when La Mesa police came up with information that would link Krewson to the Jane Doe. Dental records were used to confirm the identity."

http://legacy.utsandiego.com/news/me...2m24holly.html

I think that "break" may have been when lostsoulsearcher contacted Le Mesa police. I wonder if it was really a break or a detective just took a fresh look at the case and noticed that something had been missed.

Was the Jane Doe listed on NamUs? I don't know how to search for people that were originally listed as unidentified on NamUs, but have since been identified. I think that site would list the date the body was located. That would at least be corroborating evidence that Holly is correctly matched.

I'm not lostsoulsearcher and I've never worked as a stripper, but I waited tables and tended bar for many years. At the end of each shift we would write down our hours and tips, and sign off on them.

I didn't pay taxes each day, but that's because I earned $2.13 an hour from my employer. Employers have to pay social security, medicare, unemployment, and the employee's income tax withholding amounts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (unemployment on quarterly basis). The employer would use my $2.13 wage as a deposit for my portion of these taxes. They definitely want records of tips earned and a deposit for taxes payable.

Not sure if strippers earn any hourly wage at all from their employer--if so, this small amount could cover their taxes. Otherwise, the employer would want a deposit.(Unless strippers are independent contractors, idk.)

Someone with more knowledge, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, not all servers and bar tenders are completely honest about their tips. It's easy to "misrepresent" cash earnings. Probably the same for strippers.

Sorry to take over the thread with three posts in a row.

Thanks for clearing that up , Ava

@ lostsoulsearcher

I couldn`t find any trace of information about that club despite my best efforts at err ..... googling past Ohio stripclubs (which ironically nearly got me into saucy corners of the net ) ..... do you know what business took over the premises of the strip club once it closed ? Exactly which month did the club close ? Was the club shut down because of anything unsavory happening in there ?

I thought the call was found to be a hoax that originated in Canada, or something like that. Are you saying the mysterious call was really Holly?

Just saw this case for the first time tonight. 88keys, I think Lostsoulsearcher may be saying that *she* (lostsoulsearcher) was the one who actually talked to the mom? Considering all that was said on the call was "ohio" maybe she just wanted to let her mom know she was there? Wow....how eerie. Lostsoulsearcher, you still out there?

This was such a sad case; Holly's mom Gwen was so hopeful that she was still alive. The phone call and the psychic vision seemed to support her belief. Of course the "psychic" visions turned out not to be true, and Holly was dead the entire time. It's even more tragic that Gwen died believing that Holly was still out there.

As for "lostsoulsearcher's" claim, she's either lying or she got some information wrong. The phone call from "Holly" to her mom didn't take place until 2001, five years after they last "saw" her. Furthermore, police were able to track down and identify the caller, proving that it was a prank call.

https://web.archive.org/web/20150324...ykrewson.shtml

My guess is that the boyfriend did it. He was arrested several times for abusing her. According to her dad, when he last saw her, she was living with him. Also, he seems quite dangerous in other circumstances, like when he waved the gun around at the owner of the campground when he was asked to leave. I'm assuming he never reported her missing, which makes him even more suspicious. Finally, there's this shocking description on Holly's Doe Network page: "Marks, Scars, Tattoos: Pierced ears, scars on one side of body from head to toe from being dragged behind a truck" I wonder who did that?

I think "Humby", the guy with Holly and the boyfriend at the campground, could be key to solving the case. He was probably one of the last people to see her alive and maybe the boyfriend said something incriminating to him.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much about the case online in the past ten years.

********. You're no better than the prank caller from Canada that made the call pretending to be Holly or the two psychics that brought the family false hope.

Her remains were found on State Route 79 in Descanso, which is en route from Julian where the camp her, Humby and Jack were spotted. Reality is, she almost assuredly never left the San Diego area. Quit making bogus crap up to make yourself look "cool." The Krewson family has been through enough.
