Default question - Welcome Back, Kotter

Hello, I just started watching Welcome Back Kotter on Me TV and in one episode there is a supporting actor who looks identical to Ron Howard. I've looked around online and haven't found anything, but this could've been his twin, that's how much alike they were. I'm just wondering if anyone here knew if it was Ron Howard in an uncredited role or if I'm seeing things? Thanks guys-gals

I don't know the actor, but I never heard of Ron Howard ever doing an episode of that show.

You must be thinking of Dennis Bowen. He played Tood Ludlow in several episodes of Kotter. He was the guy who beat up Epstein in "One of Our Sweathoggs is Missing".

I don't recall that episode at all. Based on every single episode I have ever seen of the show, the sweathogs were always gonna beat someone up or came very, very close to being beaten up themselves; but at NO time do I recall any show where they were actually physically beaten up. This beat-down of Epstein you are referring to; was it an on screen or off screen beating?

According to Woodman, Todd and Judy were "real students" so they got to do what they wanted, they actually ran the school.

Did the Sweathogs ever get (physical) revenge for one of their own being beaten up?

Makes you wonder how truly tough the SweatHogs were.
