I happened to catch the part where they mentioned the case being profiled on a television program. It was an obvious reference to UM, although they didn't mention the show by name.

I saw it. Very surprised that the Kimmells didn't participate, unlike several other versions.

I know Sheila Kimmell wasn't happy with Dayle Hinman's overboard portrayal of her involvement in solving the case but otherwise I thought the Kimmell's were satisfied with the TV depictions of Lisa's case. Maybe something differed here. Or I suppose they weren't approached, although that is seemingly an underdog.

Nothing really new or remarkable. This program at the beginning did cover Lisa's background and relationship with her boyfriend in greater detail than other shows have allowed, apparently to set up the reason for the night drive.

It's always weird that the shows won't specify Arby's as the place where Lisa and Sheila worked. They say "fast food chain" or similar. This one tried to hint as closely as possible. The girl portraying Lisa was wearing a visor that was similar to an Arby's color.

I'm guessing maybe the shows don't mention the fast food chains due to legal purposes? But it's interesting to see how ID portrays cases covered on UM. They offer up more information on the victims' personal lives, which could be due to how long ago the case was, or the show has more time to explore the crime.

Yes I noticed that about the "fast food" place was never mentioned. When they did finally find her car they did show 2 Arby's visors that were found inside. I too noticed that Sheila nor anyone else from the family was interviewed. We haven't had the pleasure of Sheila posting on here in a long time. I hope she's doing well. There have been so many shows on the case, maybe its just too painful to keep reliving the horrible way Lisa was tortured and killed.

I actually made a very similar comment to my husband as we watched the telecast. I, for one, enjoyed the greater detail given to some aspects of her personal life. I've always known this, but it truly sounded like Lisa was an amazing girl who was taken far too soon.

That is a composite sketch shown on the NBC original airing (not sure if it was ever shown on the Lifetime or Farina UM's) of the Joe and Mattie Harvey case. They said this person was thought to have been seen with or following Cheryl Holland. Not sure why they edited it out later, unless it was just to make room for the update.

I actually think he also looks a lot like Tony Alamo, lol.

Finally watched this one. It was nice to get insight from the family friend about Lisa and her goals in life. I didn't know that she had two younger sisters or that information about her boyfriend. She seemed like a very nice young lady with an astounding amount of maturity for such a young age. The friend of the family said she seemed more like 30 than 18.

Which reminds me, shek, Mrs. Kimmell, hasn't posted in a while. I hope she and the whole family are doing well.

yes, come back shek!!!

Didn't happen to see the Nightmare Next Door case yet, but may have to check it out. I understand they've been airing several cases profiled on UM.

Shek, if you're reading this, I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope you don't mind me asking, but did you meet Robert Stack and Bill Kurtis? What were your thoughts on how Unsolved Mysteries and Cold Case Files handled Lisa's case? thanks!
