Andrew Koenig Remembered: 8/17/1968 - 2/25/2010 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It came and went without me acknowledging it, but February 25 marked the 4th anniversary of when Andrew Koenig was found dead in Vancouver, Canada, with his actor father Walter telling the press: "My son took his own life."

A week and a half earlier, February 14, 2010, was when Andrew Koenig was last seen alive; 8 days later, February 22, Andrew was reported missing.

3 days afterwards, Andrew, aged 41, was found dead; how long he'd been deceased for prior to his body being discovered hung near a tree in Vancouver is unclear, but one thing is: Andrew is deeply missed.

When I see Andrew on "Growing Pains" reruns, I like forgetting about this horrific event and pretend that Andrew is still with us here on Earth.

Here's to Andrew Koenig.

He was great on Growing Pains, I know we all miss him. He was so funny in the episode where he and Mike both got jobs at a stereo store. That is a classic episode. I'm sure there were many more funny "Boner" episodes but that one stands out to me. May you rest in peace Andrew Koenig.
