TV Ryan Murphy Reveals Info. on "Glee's" Final Season

"Glee’s" Final Season To Have New Location, Final Scene about Rachel & Will Schuester
by NELLIE ANDREEVA
April 15, 2014

After departing McKinley High to move to New York fulltime for the latter part of this season, the musical dramedy looked destined to end its run in the Big Apple. That won’t be the case, "Glee" co-creator/executive producer Ryan Murphy said in a press call yesterday.

The final season is its own story in its own location; it is not New York-centric at all,” Murphy said. “It really is a lovely, fitting season that dwells on the original people on the show and what happens to them and how they give back. … We’ll revisit some of the new kids that came and went, there’s a return of Sue Sylvester and Will Schuester in a big way.

The sixth and final season will consist of 24 episodes, two of them carried over from this season, cut short by the sudden death of star Cory Monteith. The actor’s passing also changed "Glee" creators’ plans how to end the series, as their original ending featured Lea Michele’s Rachel returning to McKinley High and Monteith’s Finn.

The new final scene idea “is about Rachel and Mr. Schue, and it returns them to their origins, their roots, how they felt about each other when they were much younger and everything was idyllic,” Murphy said.

I think the ending has to be a reflection and a celebration of how far all those characters have come.

The Emma character cannot get axed too quickly because we want to see her holding her new baby.

I hope Rachel gets married to a new boyfriend with these requirements:

- No erratic love technique
- No drug/alcohol addiction
- No meanness nor rudeness
- Strongly talented on broadway, both singing and acting.
- Mention about his former high school girlfiend who had a poor love technique throughout her life and died after her high school graduation.

We want to see Throat Explosion get framed for drug addiction, just like the Warblers.

We want to see a fisherman accidentally fishes a gun out of the lake, reports to the police and Sue gets arrested and thrown into jail for the rest of her life like an overrated person.
