As you know, my computer is still broken and I've been posting from the library. The thing I want to save some videos from youtube. The thing is with my own computer I was able to save the videos and even if the videos got pulled from youtube I was still able to watch them. How would I be able to do that if I'm on the libraries computer? Is there an account or something that I could use so even if videos get pulled on youtube I would still have a copy of the videos?

Computer still broken. I will ask the question again. Anyway I could download videos from a public library? The thing is that I know how to download them if its my own computer but what about from a public library? See what I want is even if youtube pulls any videos that I like, that I will still be able to watch them and enjoy them by saving them. The question is how?

i'm not familiar with how a public library system works, but I would imagine that they would prevent you from saving anything to disk and prevent you from copying anything onto a flash drive or cd or anything - you could ask the library and see what they say though.
the only other thing I can think of is if you could borrow another friend's computer and save the videos to a flash drive or something - there are programs to download the video, but I doubt you'd be allowed to install anything on a public computer. |

One thing you can do in the meantime is the following: When you come across something you'd like to download/save, send an email to your own account with a link to its address. That way, later you can easily get back to something you want (hopefully before it's pulled) -- and once your computer is fixed, right away you can begin saving.
