The Karate Kid 2 Locks Breck Eisner To Helm Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan

Sony Pictures has locked Breck Eisner to direct The Karate Kid 2, the sequel that will bring back Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. Harald Zwart directed the 2010 original, which grossed $56 million on its opening weekend and ended with $343 million worldwide.

Eisner, repped by CAA and Management 360, most recently directed the gritty horror film The Crazies. It is an important film for the studio that has placed a premium in the care and feeding of franchises with global appeal.

Sony must be desperate it's one movie I'm skipping for sure.

I watch any thing with Jackie Chan I think they should get Jackie Chan to fight more I even watch the forbidden kingdom

I was really hoping they were going to leave this alone after the 2010 movie...... If they called this thing "The Kung Fu Kid", at least that would be more accurate. I'm not interested in this or the other movie. I'll stick with watching the original '80s classics with Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita. (And I like "The Next Karate Kid" as well, for that matter. That's still part of the same continuity.) I don't care for the remake versions.
