Default A Forbidden Affair [Part I]

Seventeen-year old, Kimberly Drummond stands across from her boyfriend, Curtis, whose about to become her ex-boyfriend.
"Why don't you ever spend time with me?! All you care about is football!"
Curtis, a 6-foot, muscle-bond college sophomore, turns bright red. "You don't understand that I'm in college. You're still in high school."
"What does that have to do with anything? What good is having a boyfriend if you don't get to spend any time with him!"
Curtis looks annoyed. "Don't get all emotional on me, Kimberly. That's so high school."
Kimberly's eyes fill with tears as she paces around the room. "I am in high school or did you forget so quickly!"
"Look, Kimberly, I really can't take this anymore. I thought when I came over, we could work things out, but I don't think so now. It's too hard being in a relationship with a high school girl and I'm in college."
Kimberly stops dead in her tracks, and glares at him. "Fine. I should have known better to get involved with a star athlete who stares in the mirror more than me."
Curtis laughs, unoffended. He starts toward the door. "Call me when you make it to college, Kimberly, then maybe I'll consider going out with you again." He walks out of the door, smirking.
Kimberly slams the door behind him and collapses on the couch, sobbing into her hands. A few moments later, Willis walks in, looking about as down as she feels, but still as fine as ever. He stops when he sees Kimberly.
"Who died?" he asks.
Kimberly wipes at her eyes with the back of her hand. "No one. But they might as well. My relationship with Curtis is over. I guess dating a mere high school girl wasn't good enough for him," she says sarcastically.
Willis sits down next to Kimberly, putting his arm around her. "Don't worry about it, sis, he's a jerk if he dumped you."
Kimberly smiles. "Thanks, Willis. You made me feel a little better." She looks at him, noticing his down look. "You look pretty down yourself."
Willis sighs. "Me and Charlene broke up tonight. She's being impossible. She says I'm too shallow for her."
Kimberly laughs. "You and Charlene could set a world record for how many times you break up and get back together."
Willis shruggs. "I love Charlene and want to marry her someday, but sometimes she gets mad at me for no reason. What's with girls?"
"Not all girls are like that," Kimberly says defensively. "Some girls strive to make their boyfriends happy."
"I wish Charlene thought like you."
Kimberly smiles.
Willis stands up and turns on the stereo. He begins dancing.
Kimberly looks at him in surprise. "What are you doing?"
"Shaking ants out of my pants; what does it look like I'm doing?" He grabs Kimberly off of the couch. "Dance with me."
Kimberly pulls away. "I don't feel like dancing right now, Willis."
Willis doesn't let up. He beings grooving on her. Kimberly laughs and finally dances with him. He spins her around, and soon they're both laughing. A slow song suddenly comes on.
"May I have this dance?" asks Willis.
"I'd be delighted," Kimberly responds, putting her arms around Willis's neck. Willis has his arms around her waist, holding her at a distance.
All is quiet as they dance. Kimberly can't help looking into Willis's eyes. He's staring at her, too. Normally, their smiles would be innocent, but there's something different this time. Willis pulls her a little closer. It feels wonderful to be in his arms. She notices how handsome he is. My oh my how age has made him even more attractive...
Kimberly looks down. Snap out of it , she tells herself. He's your brother.
To prove to herself that her unusual thoughts were gone, she looked into Willis's eyes again. Big mistake. She could feel his arms tightening around her. His face was close to hers. Suddenly he wasn't her brother and they weren't at home. He was just a guy she felt strongly attracted to, but then, being so close to Willis, she felt him pressing into her. She was suddenly in her living room again and felt strange as she jumped back from Willis as if he were hot fire.
Willis looked as weirded out as she felt. The slow music felt odd in the room. They didn't speak. They didn't have to. Just then, Arnold and Mr. Drummond burst into the door.
"Hey, we're back from the movies," says Mr. Drummond, cheerfully.
"And I'm so hungry I could eat a horse," says Arnold.
"You're always hungry, Arnold." Kimberly hoped she sounded normal.
"Hey, gotta eat to live," Arnold replies.
"Is that music playing?" asks Mr. Drummond as he walked across the room.
"Yeah," says Willis. "I was just dancing, but you can turn it off if you want."
"Please do," says Arnold. "Romantic music, ick."
Mr. Drummond turns off the stereo. He turns to the children. "What do you say we order a pizza?"
"I say great, but what will the rest of you eat?" says Arnold.
"Very funny," says Willis. Mr. Drummond goes into the kitchen and Arnold follows him. Kimberly and Willis avoid each other's eyes as they follow them, but the sexual tension between them is thick.

Stay tuned for Part II
