I went to three Targets today and couldn't find I Dream of Jeannie! They had the other Mill Creek DVD's of Bewitched, Charlie's Angels and Good Times but no Jeannie!! Besides ordering them online, anyone know what other stores are selling them now? Thanks.

I got mine about a Month ago at Sams Club, but I don't think they are selling it any longer. Try selected Barnes & Nobles stores that carry Cds/DVDS.

I'm talking about the "Season 1 & 2 Two Pack" distributed by Mill Creek that was released on Tue. April 1. 2014. Has anyone seen this set in any stores? I only saw the Mill Creek versions of Bewitched, Charlie's Angels, Good Times, Married With Children and Highway to Heaven at some Target stores but no Jeannie! What stores are carrying Jeannie?

I bought all 5 seasons at Barnes & Noble last summer, but I don't know if it's by Mill Creek or not. Is there a difference, or are the episodes edited differently?

Well yes the difference is you bought the Original Sony release with the first season giving you a choice to watch in B&W or colorized. And also the Sony release of the first season has an interview with Sidney Sheldon plus a cast reunion with Barbara Eden, Larry Hagman and Bill Daily. Another bonus is that Barbara, Larry and Bill all provide audio commentary on the pilot episode. Now the new Mill Creek release of Season 1 & 2 has no extras but the good things about it are... 1.) It's a snap case with a beautiful cover photo from the first season. 2.) It has both season 1 & 2 in one case containing 6 discs with a total of 61 episodes again all in one thin snap case perfect for those who want to downsize. 3.) Season One is presented in it's original B&W version and 4.) The Best part is for $8.00 for the Season 1 & 2 Combo pack is a wish come true for all Jeannie fans on a budget!
Now with that said, the only store I see that is selling the Mill Creek Season 1 & 2 Combo Pack is Barnes & Noble but if you buy it in the store, it's $14.99 but $8.50 @Barnes&Noble. com. That is the cheapest I have seen it being sold for online for (The combo pack). http://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/dvd-i-...n=683904533364 It would be great to know what other stores are carrying it? |

My DVDs have the audio commentary on the pilot, and the cast interviews like you mentioned, but Season 1 is in color. There is no option for B&W viewing (I wish there was!). The year of manufacture is 2006 from Sony.

Of course you have the option of B&W! The 2006 Sony version is available in B&W whether you choose to buy it like that or simply turn off the color yourself. For those who think by turning the color off is not the same, well just buy the Mill Creek version then and problem solved!

Really?? You can turn the color off? I've never heard of that - how do you do it? And can you turn it back on? I didn't see any options like that on the DVDs...

If you click on settings on your TV, then click on where it says color, you can then minimize or turn off the color completely and then enjoy in B&W. Good luck!

The TV that's hooked up to my DVD player is one of the older, pre-digital conversion, TV's, and I've never played around with any of the settings, but I'm sure I can find them. Thanks!

Instead of reissuing DVD's that have already been previously released, they need to concentrate on DVD's that haven't been released yet. The 3rd season of Flying Nun is one example.
