I spend a huge amount of my paycheck on Casino and Lottery, and then I overdraft from my bank to gamble more. I even used to take money out of mall fountains to gamble. I even tried to cash in a $70.00 voucher I found in a Casino that appeared to be abandoned, after blowing my money on a cold machine, last year. Apparently, it was being watched by an Employee, I had to give it back to the player, who had not left it abandoned, but watched by the employee. I was banned from the Casino for a week.
I spent my tax return quickly this year, and I am so disgusted. I owe my bank about $800.00, owe a personal loan of about $600.00, owe a payday loan of $400.00, I owe someone $500.00, clinics about $700.00, owe bad checks about $600.00. I spend a good 7 hours in the Casino easily.. I am in so deep in debt, I feel trapped. I cannot believe I let good early on wins trap me so bad. I was able to put a $30.00 in a game, and go home with $260.00. The next day, I put a $50.00 and left with $1,000. These kind of winnings got me hooked so badly. Now, I keep playing, saying "If I could just get that $1,000 I got early again, I could just walk away from gambling, especially the Casino. I need help badly..so deep in] |

Seek a gamblers anonymous meeting in your area. Get started now before it gets worse. Or maybe look for a therapist who does hypnotist for gambling. I hope you do get help. Good luck.

I'm just so ashamed how quickly I got hooked on just a $1260 win in two days. The good news is that I'm not alone. Multiple people have said in the beginning of their gambling, they were winning thousands of dollars, only to keep playing and end up in debt. One lady even won $5,000 her first day, only to keep playing and end up in debt. I think she said she wished she stopped playing when she won that money, and actually thought she would win it again. One man said he won $3000 in a weekend, kept playing, ended up in debt, and stopped gambling. One lady even became a prostitute because of the money she lost. That is so damn sad..

Take the first step and seek help. Only you can do that. Prayers are with you.

Admitting the problem is always the first step, so congratulations on that.
The next step is seeking help to break free. Jesus Christ can set you free from a gambling addiction (and any other addiction, for that matter.) I pray that He will work to do just that for you. And He will- if you are willing to come to Him and ask Him to do that. He died on the cross and rose again to pay for all sins and set us free- I pray you will ask Him for the new life He offers and follow Him as Savior and Lord. I work with a really great program at my church that seeks to help people with just these kinds of problems- it's called Celebrate Recovery and it looks like there is a group near your area- http://www.miamibc.com/recovery-ministry/ I highly recommend checking it out. Take care and God bless.

Those games at the casinos (slots, any table games, etc.) can be highly addictive. If I were you, I would try my best to stay away from these casinos; Just don't set foot in one.

James, you are right. Casino slots can be highly addictive. Can't believe I can spend as much as 7/8 hours in one Casino!
That's the same as a full time job!
