Default I found it funny that Dee was always making fun of Rerun's weight and

her mother was BIGGER than he was

How can you clown someone about their weight when someone who lives with you is just as big and bigger? Very Odd

It would've been very disrespectful for Dee to ridicule her mother's weight and besides Mrs. Thomas probably would've given her the back of her hand if she had done so.

No, not that she was supposed to make fun of her mother. What I am saying is the fact that she had a HUGH MOM that should have been enough reason for her not to make fun of fat people.

Ok, that makes sense.

She probably shouldn't have, but if Rerun knocked the living daylights out of Dee, we would've had a Ray Rice scenario, 36, 37 years beforehand.

It makes even less sense that Rerun and Shirley used to rip each other for their weight.

I think Rerun made fun of her being unattractive more than her being fat

He made fun of Shirley's weight a lot. "Back off, Shamu!" is the first (of many) that comes to mind.

To be fair Dee made fun of almost everyone. That was part of her character.

She did make fun of her mama on the sly...especially when mama gave her a hug and pretended like she couldn't breathe. One episode where Dee was explaining that her mama was crawling out of a window, and the said, "no, you couldn't crawl out the window.
