Led Zeppelin to Unveil Unreleased Songs as Part of ‘Extensive Reissue Program’

The magic for Led Zeppelin fans is far from over.

The legendary rock band is reissuing its first three albums with previously unreleased live and studio tracks as the beginning of an “extensive reissue program.” While plans are set for all nine of their studio albums to be re-released with unheard content, their first three LPs — “Led Zeppelin,” “Led Zeppelin II” and “Led Zeppelin II” — will hit stores June 3.

The project comes from guitarist and producer Jimmy Page, who is working on remastering all of their albums. Each record dubbed a deluxe edition will feature a bonus disc, which will contain the previously unreleased content. The albums are being released by Atlantic/Swan Song.

“The material on the companion discs presents a portal to the time of the recording … It is a selection of work in progress with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions and new material recorded at the time,” Page said in a statement.

Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 with Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham and Robert Plant. The albums will mark the first launch of unreleased studio recordings from the band since 1982.
