Lol The Browns release BOTH Weeden and Campbell!

From clevelandbrowns.com...

Quote:
The Cleveland Browns Wednesday released quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell.
The Cleveland Browns Wednesday released quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell.
Weeden, 30, was waived only two years after the Browns made the former Oklahoma State standout a first-round draft pick.
Campbell, 32, was released after joining the Browns as a free agent before last season, his ninth in the NFL.
The moves leave the Browns with two quarterbacks: Brian Hoyer and Alex Tanney.
In 23 games with the Browns, including 20 starts, Weeden completed 55.9 percent of his passes for 5,116 yards and 23 touchdowns, while throwing 26 interceptions.
“First and foremost, the Browns would like to thank Brandon and his agent for being true professionals,” Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement released by the team. “The circumstances in which he found himself were not easy for him or the team. After discussions with Brandon and his agent, we’d like to give him the ability to pursue other opportunities.”

At 28, Weeden, who had played professional baseball before pursuing his college football career, was the oldest first-round pick in NFL history. In 15 starts, he threw for 3,385 yards, a Browns rookie record.
Weeden started the first two games of last season, both losses, before suffering a thumb injury in the fourth quarter at Baltimore. Brian Hoyer took over as the starter for the next two games, both victories, and suffered a season-ending knee injury early in his third start, against the Buffalo Bills. Weeden took over and led the Browns to a win.
That would be the last time Weeden would find success on the field as a Brown.
He would start the next two games, losses against Detroit and Green Bay, and was replaced by Campbell.
Weeden would appear in two more games: against Pittsburgh, after replacing Campbell, who left the game with a concussion, and against Jacksonville, as a starter. Both were losses.
In nine games with the Browns last season, Campbell completed 56.8 percent of his passes for 2,015 yards and 11 touchdowns, while throwing eight interceptions.

“We appreciate Jason’s contributions to the Browns in 2013,” Farmer said in a statement. “He’s a respected veteran player in this league. We felt like at this time, early in the free-agency period, we would give him a better opportunity to move forward. We wish Jason the best in his future endeavors.”
Campbell spent the first five seasons of his career with the Washington Redskins. He then spent two years with the Oakland Raiders and a season with the Chicago Bears before signing with the Browns.
Looks like another 4-12 Season for the Cleveland Frowns!

The Browns management needs to be fired. I'm so sick of them firing head coaches and getting rid of players that they should keep. Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell hadn't been with the team that long and they should've kept them. I don't know why Browns management is expecting to become a good team right away because it's not gonna happen. For bad teams to become good, you have to let the players stay together for awhile and you have to keep head coaches for awhile. No bad teams can become good overnight and win championships. I don't know when the Browns management is gonna get that through their damn heads. I don't know who their new head coach is but i bet he won't last long and whoever their next quarterback is won't last long. The owner of the Browns needs to fire management soon and get a general manager who will keep some head coaches and players around for awhile so the team can become good.

MrCleveland, have you seen previews for Draft Day movie with Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Denis Leary? The movie is about the Cleveland Browns hahahahahahahahahahaha. Kevin plays a general manager of the Browns and he's trying to make a smart choice about who the team should pick in the NFL draft. The movie comes out next month and i wanna see it. Kevin Costner is a good actor and i've seen a few of his movies. Jennifer Garner is hot. She's married to actor Ben Affleck.

Jason Campbell did well the Browns, there's no reason why they got rid of him in the wrong time!

I'm hoping to see "Draft Day" as well as "There Is A God" and "Saving Mr. Banks" to name a few recent films...

But yeah...The Frowns (I like to call them that) are The New York Mets of Football!...

I heard that Jason Campbell is with Cincinnati now. MrCleveland, you think the Cavs are gonna ever be any good? LOL@their ugly uniforms hahahahahahahahahahaha. They should've kept the uniforms they had when Lebron was there. I feel bad for Kyrie Irving because he's very good and he doesn't have a lot of help. Luol Deng and Dion Waiters are good. Speaking of Dion, he hit the game winning shot against Detroit a few days ago. I bet Luol wishes he was still with the Bulls. The Bulls are stupid for trading him.

Jason Campbell is a better fit for the Browns than the Bengals.

I don't know Irehtman. Jason has been traded too much and i don't think he'll be with Cincinnati long. I do think Cleveland should've kept him because he's a decent quarterback. I see Cleveland got rid of Vince Young already and they got Johnny Manziel in the draft. They're stupid for getting rid of Vince because he might still be able to play because Brian Foyer might not work out. The Browns have already sold about 2,000 season tickets. I hope Johnny can turn the Browns into a winning team because that would make the Browns fans happy that they finally got a quarterback that would make them good. Browns management said Johnny is gonna have to earn the starting spot because Brian Foyer is gonna be the starting quarterback.
