Will Bart be getting a new teacher? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Well tonight they mentioned Edna Krabappell passed away. It was a nice send off to a great character who has been a fixture in the simpsons cast for 24 years. I was hoping they were gonna replace the character's voice and keep her around. Since it kind of sucks she was only married to Ned for 2 years and now he's a widower for the 2nd time. But that's life my grandfather died just 2 years after he married his 2nd wife. But anyways I would love to see an episode where Bart gets a new teacher. Mabye a guy this time. Could be a good way to bring in a new character. I wonder if Mr. Bergstrom could come back and be Bart's new teacher. He was Lisa's substitute teacher years back. Would be nice to see him return as a full time character. What does everyone else think?

That would be great. If it's going to be a guy, he wouldn't put up with Bart and his pranks.

Who will replace Mrs. Krabappel in the fourth-grade classroom? For the time being, no one.

The rest of this season’s episodes — which already have been completed — do not involve Bart with his teacher.

As for season 26, “we have some ideas,” says Jean.

“It’s also possible both given the way the show works and the state of public schools there won’t be a permanent teacher. We can get some great guest stars here and there before we settle on somebody. We’re looking at it from different angles.”
