Have you ever noticed that Max and Larabee have specific things in common? I'm very impressed that the new writers of season 5 paid attention to all those details.
Example 1: In "Diamonds Are a Spy's Best Friend," Max says that there is both a jewelery store and a delicatessen at 4th and Spiegel. In "The Day They Raided Knights," Larabee said that there was a jewelery store and a delicatessen at 4th and Vermont. They bring up 4th Street a lot during the last two seasons. Example 2: In "A Tale of Two Tails," Max disguised himself as Santa Claus because all the good disguises were taken. In "The Day They Raided Knights," Larabee said that there were only two disguises left, both of them happen to be women's outfits. Which leads to example 3... Example 3: In "The Only Way to Die," I think that's the one, Max was disguised as an old woman in an old-fashioned dress. In "The Day They Raided Knights," Larabee's disguise is his "Charley's Aunt" costume, which looks similar to Max's disguise, except Larabee's is green while Max's was black. Example 4: The endings of "I Shot 86 Today" and "Smartacus" are very similar. Example 5: In "Greer Window," Larabee had two illogical theories starting with "maybe." In "Valerie of the Dolls," Max had two illogical theories starting with "maybe." Example 6: Max, 99, and Larabee had trouble with lemon meringue pie. Example 7: In "And Only Two Ninety-Nine," when the Chief said "Put your gun down and your hands up," Larabee did what the Chief said. I don't remember which episode it was, but I'm certain that Max did the exact same thing in one of the earlier episodes. |

I know Don Adams and Robert Karvelas were cousins but does anyone know exactly how they were related and were they first cousins or further down the line?

I'm not sure. All I got from Karvelas's IMDb bio was that they were cousins, and it seems as if I've first learned that they were cousins from one of those "Coming Up Next on TV Land Episode Trivia" segments they play during credits of a show (probably "The Hot Line").
