Default Ward's Car In Garage

In several episodes where the family is living in the second house (1959-1963), you hear Ward complaining to Wally or Beaver that they left some object (trash cans, lawnmower, bicylce, etc.) in the driveway that prevented him from getting his car into the garage. However, I don't remember ever seeing the car in the garage. It always seems to be in the driveway. There are scenes where Ward is shown arriving home and stopping the car in the driveway or just him coming in the front door (apparently since he would use that door if the car is in the drive rather than the garage). There are some where he enters into the kitchen so maybe then you are to assume he parked in the garage those times. Several episodes do show the inside of the garage and none that I can recall ever show the car parked in there. Just find that interesting in a trivial sort of way.

Ward was a good Dad. My folks just backed over my bike (more then once) then blamed me. I'd rather they looked where they were going and yelled at me or gave me a sock

The only time we see Ward using the garage door at the new house was in Tire Trouble when he can't get his car in the garage because of all the lumber when Wally and Beaver are making cages for chinchillas. He comes in the kitchen door in that one. You're right very rarely does Ward park in the garage. In the first house the car was in the garage much more like in the one when Beaver breaks the car window and when Ward is putting Simonize on the car in Beaver's Friend Chuey.

That reminds me...when is the only time that Ward can't park in the garage because something is in the garage..Wally says how he will have to park outside for the night. By the way it's in the first house.

Was it the time Beaver and Larry were raising pigeons?

No not that time...I think Beaver kept his pigeons in the garage though. This was bigger so it took up more of the garage.

And the answer is Nick the famous circus horse. He was kept in the garage and Ward had to keep his car outside. Ward got Nick some hay and oats but what a mess there must have been. Wonder if Beaver and Wally cleaned up after him like the way they did at the circus.

I watched "Tire Trouble" on Netflix very recently.

Didn't Ward park his car in the garage in the episode where the boys broke the car window?

Yes and I mentioned that a few posts back. The ball hits the wall and breaks the passenger front window. I still don't know how it broke that window.

In Tire Trouble we hear Ward say he'll pull the car into the garage as best he can for the night but wants all that stuff picked up the next day. I guess he backs out the car and gets that nail in the tire...however the garage looks the same as it did when he found it that way.
