TV FXX Renews "Archer" for Season 13

FX Renews "Archer" for Two More Seasons
Mar 6, 2014
by Natalie Abrams

FX has renewed "Archer" for two more seasons, the network announced Thursday. Seasons 6 and 7 will each contain 13 episodes. Thursday's renewal will keep the hit animated spy comedy on the air through at least 2016.

"Archer is one of the best comedies on television and has played a significant role in the growth of the FX Comedy brand," Eric Schrier, FX's President of Original Programming, said in a statement.

"We're grateful to Adam Reed, Matt Thompson and their team at Floyd County, and also our incredible voice cast, and are looking forward to supporting their work for at least two more seasons."

FX Renews "Archer" for Three More Seasons
by Dominic Patten
June 21, 2016

The world’s most self centered and perhaps stupidest ex-spy and now P.I. is coming back for not just an eighth season but a ninth and tenth as well, FX announced today about "Archer".

Season 8 of the animated series from EPs Adam Reed and Matt Thompson will debut with an eight-episode run in 2017, the cabler added. Seasons 9 and 10 will also run for eight-episodes. No word if it will be the end of "Archer" at the end of the tenth season.

We can’t say enough about what Adam, Matt and the entire Archer team at Floyd County have done to keep this series so insanely funny and vital through seven seasons,” FX co-President of Original Programming Nick Grad did say Tuesday.

The move to Los Angeles this past season as private detectives was just the latest twist in Archer’s legendary exploits and the next three seasons will to be just as amazing and unpredictable. We are thrilled to continue making great TV with our friends and colleagues at Floyd County.

"Archer" Renewed for Season 11 at FXX
by Erik Pedersen
July 19, 2019

The misadventures of the world’s most self-centered and perhaps stupidest ex-spy-turned-space captain will continue. FXX said during its panel at Comic-Con today that the animated spy spoof "Archer" has been renewed for Season 11.

We are incredibly excited for our 11th season and look forward to Archer waking up from his coma and returning to a spy world that has continued without him for the past three years,” executive producer Casey Willis said.

"Archer" Renewed for Season 12 at FXX
by Peter White
October 21, 2020

"Archer" is back in the real world after spending its previous three seasons in a coma and the animated spy’s recovery is set to extend for a 12th season.

FXX has renewed the show for another run in 2021. The 11th season launched on September 16 and the cable network said ratings for total viewers were up 32% from the previous season with 2.43M total viewers per episode across linear and digital.

Archer is back in a big way this season, with viewership up as the Emmy Award-winning spy series returns to its roots and begins to plot a 12th season next year,” said Nick Grad, President, Original Programming, FX Entertainment.

Our thanks to Adam Reed, Matt Thompson, Casey Willis and the entire team at Floyd County Productions for keeping Archer as fun as ever and true to form. Together with its unbelievable voice cast, Archer is set to give fans another great season.

"Archer" Renewed for Season 13 at FXX
by Peter White
Sept. 28, 2021

"Archer" will continue its long-running stretch. FXX has renewed the animated comedy for a 13th season.

The Disney-owned network will launch the eight-episode run in 2022, and like its current 12th season will premiere on FXX and be available to stream the next day on FX on Hulu.

Archer remains one of FX’s signature series and we are happy to extend its legacy with another globetrotting season,” said Nick Grad, President, Original Programming, FX.

Like Sterling Archer himself, Adam Reed, Matt Thompson, Casey Willis and the entire team at Floyd County Productions are endlessly creative and always find a way to surpass themselves. Our thanks to them and the incredible voice cast who keep this fan favorite spy comedy as fresh and exciting as ever.
