TBS Renews "Ground Floor" for Season 2

"Ground Floor" has been renewed for a second season, TBS announced Thursday.

The upstairs/downstairs workplace comedy, which stars Skyler Astin, Briga Heelan and John C. McGinley, was picked up for a 10-episode second season, which is set to begin in late 2014.

During its first season, the comedy averaged 1.8 million viewers, including 1.1 million in the adults 18-49 demographic.

If it's been a decent hit why is the 2nd season only 10 episodes instead of a full run?

I'm pleased, to be honest, because 22 episode seasons get tiring after a while (being a Brit where we only usually have 6 may have affected me in this regard).

I thought "Ground Floor" was really strong, and Briga Heelan is fantastic. I'm looking forward to it coming back.
