Question Which of Beaver's classmates do you think would have gotten the most dates?

Something my enquiring mind would like to know!

Oh, Gilbert was a cutie!

I don't remember Harry at all.

I agree. I think Gilbert would probably get the most dates. He's suave, and seems like he knows the right things to say to girls. Heck, even the Beaver gets advice about girls from Gilbert (not that often, though).

Whitey; he was the Dudley Moore of that era. Plus I think there was an episode about how smart he was. With his brains, he should be able to convince the gals to see things his way!

I personally didn't like Gilbert as a character, but I do think he would have come across well to the opposite sex. He was the best looking of Beav's friends (with the exception of Tim Matheson, who isn't on the poll) and he seems to have the nice next door neighbor quality down. He reminds me of Jerry Halper on Dick Van Dyke. A very good second banana.

Gilbert would have been a player, like a more suave version of Eddie Haskell. Beaver would have been able to attract girls but would have had trouble keeping them.

I could see Richard in the 70's. He would have been one of those guys who wears leisure suits with his shirt unbuttoned to reveal his chest hair. Sort of like Larry on "Three's Company". Gilbert would have been more like Jack.

I agree, Gilbert was the best looking and was manipulative in a charming sort of way.

I voted for Gilbert. He was a very good-looking kid, and a smooth talker - he probably would have known just what to say to the girls, and told them anything he thought they wanted to hear.

I think Richard would have done very well with the girls, too. And even little Whitey was kind of a "player" - didn't he end up with that prepubescent Liz Taylor look-alike in that episode where Beaver and Gilbert end up taking a trip across America? (Can't remember the name of it - it was just recently on, though).

I agree, probably Gilbert.

Gilbert kept getting cuter. In the last season he was quite a looker. Usually the girls passed him up for Beaver though, to his dismay. I'd like to see what he looks like today.

For the guys, probably Gilbert.

For the gals, I would say that Linda Dennison would've gotten the most dates, especially after seeing a relatively current photo of her. HUBA HUBA!!!
