This is about the message board there for the show (not the movie), mostly the fact that there is at least one user that is confused and annoyed by conflicting details about the show. There are a couple of people helping him/her out, but I think they could use some more points of view
![]() http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058815/board/threads/?p=1 There's also the usual attacks, over-analysis, and mis-quotes going on, so I think they could all use a hand, if some of y'all here aren't already over there

I post on IMDB almost every day, and I always have to put up with behavior like that.

I tend to avoid the IMDB discussion sections like the plague, for the most part. There are far too many psychologically disturbed posters, OCD posters, sock accounts, TV show obsessives, celebrity stalkers(live celebs), celebrity obsessives(dead celebs), and idiots that start threads suggesting every dead actor was gay with no evidence. It seems like every board on a particular show or actor has at least that one disturbed poster that posts in every thread and is absolutely obsessed. I go there for info every now and then but avoid posting 99.99% of the time.
Check out the classic Hawaii 5-0 board or the Jack Lord board and you'll see that one certain member, posting under at least 4 different names. It seems almost every board has someone like that. |

I just went over there and interjected into a number of discussions. Yes, you have to sort out the I've-got-to-complain type posts with the I-have-an-honest-question type posts. You also have to turn a blind-eye to some of the ridiculous. That's one of the reasons I prefer this board, to the IMDB boards.

To be honest, the reason I posted this thread was to help that one prolific member over there, TitanicFanForever, as their posts were ill-informed and their questions naive. I got the impression that even if they are a new viewer of the show, that they're doing things other than watching and listening closely. No playing on your laptop or smartphone while watching (especially for the first time) or you're going to miss things! (I did learn in one post that TFF does not own a DVD-player, and I am considering suggesting the use of their computer-player, or buying an external to play on their computer.)
It also appears that TFF is watching the shows on AntennaTV and losing important scenes due to the network's chopping up of the episodes. I had to transcribe the important scene with Roger and Jeannie in "Jeannie and the Kidnap Caper" to get TFF to believe me that Jeannie could cancel a Sacred Oath, but not by just breaking it as one would a promise. I'm still getting the impression I'm not getting through to that one as that question keeps coming up. I just thought the rest of y'all would like to help some of them out over there, without engaging in the ones that are obvious trolls (such as those calling Jeannie "dumb" or "********" because they don't know what being naive means.) My intent was not to lessen the community here; only to enlighten the community there
