it amazes me what parts of shows TV stations remove. Something like the Honeybees segment which is so integral to the main plot is baffling. Thank goodness for the DVD's.

This is why I watch Gilligan's Island on ME-TV instead. I watched a handful of GI episodes on TVLand and realized they cut out scenes such as the episode where the castaways eat the food that has radiation in it. In order to help remove it from their system, they are doing exercises such as walking. There is a scene where Mary Ann is walking and then complains she is tired to the Skipper. He tells her she must keep moving. That scene was totally cut out. TVLand began that scene when she notices the boat.

TVLand cuts, chops, slices and edits all their shows. They even edit out tag scenes of various shows such as King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond.

well fans have the option of buying the complete series of GI
