Taken from 1963 it is claimed. Credit for this goes to the America in the 60's Facebook Group and to Robert Swan. Thanks so much! Seems to be Thanksgiving. But as the series was cancelled in June of 1963, maybe not.
Unless the Cleavers got together later that year. Oh how rare this is! I only wish Leave it to Beaver would have done some holiday episodes. The family looks great here. Jack PS. Here is the page where I got it from for credit: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater It looks from the caption that they were celebrating Tony's Birthday with a turkey dinner! Or the owner of the photo just wished Tony a Happy Birthday with that commemorative photo. It could have been during the series. Tony was born April 13th, 1945 according to several sources, so the photo could have been taken on or around April 13th, 1963, when the cast was probably nearing the finish of filming Season 6. Tony's 18th birthday. The apparent image of the Cleaver's dinning room would indicate this was the case. |

Thanks for sharing that photo. I don't recall June's hair looking like that. I believe the last episode it was in the Kennedy flip. I wonder if they got together after the show ended like you wrote. Jerry actually looks the way he looked in Season 5.
I found a photo but how can I post it? Is it hard? |

Yes. Thank you for sharing the photo. It does make me wish there was an episode or two that dealt with Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. as other sitcoms of that time period. I know this comes up on this site from time to time and I don't recall any reason ever given by show officials as to why. Along that same line, I don't recall any episode that showed it snowing or snow was on the ground. There are many where jackets or coats are worn so you assume the weather is was supposed to be cool - like fall or early spring.

Does anyone know how to post a photo? There is a Christmas photo out there in images...Beaver mentions Christmas a few times...In Beaver Becomes a Hero he's fishing with Wally and starts to sing Jingle Bells. Wally says not to sing that it's not near Christmas. In Beaver's Tree they have the tree in the back yard that Beaver took and says he can hang Christmas lights on it to disguise it. Also in Beaver's Accordion Beaver mentions putting the accordion in the hall closet as the only thing in there are Christmas lights. So at least we know they did celebrate Christmas even if we didn't see it.

I am no great computer authority, but I think I can help with photo posting. I assume you have a Windows based computer. Here's what SHOULD (knock on wood) work: 1.) Go to the image that you want to post and click on it. Most common formats are JPEG, GIF, IMG 2.) Right-click on the image and select "Save As" 3.) The image will be saved to the folder where you download all your images from the Internet. I use Firefox as my main browser, and there is a Downloads folder. IE and Chrome should have a similar "Save As" folder. 4.) Minimize your browser Window (Click on the - sign in the right corner.) 5.) Go to your Download folder where you saved the image. For best results the image should be medium-size to large, but NOT huge. If you right-click on the image and select properties the dimensions should be at least 400x400, but not larger than 1200x1200. About 600x600-800x800 is a nice range. 6.) If the Properties show that your image is too big, you will need to crop it down using photo editing software and the Trim or Crop function. If it is too small, you can use the Zoom Feature in your Photo Editing Software. However, if you Zoom too much, you will distort the image. Windows Paint is included in all versions of Windows. Here's how to do image editing in Windows Paint. If you have Windows XP, use this link: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/conten...indows-xp.html If you have Windows 7, use this link: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/conten...ive-paint.html If you have Windows 8, use this link: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/33648...rotate-images/ 7.) Name the picture to something you can remember and note the location on your computer. It should be your downloads folder. In Windows 8, it might be your pictures library. It will say where the picture is when you save it for the first time. Make a note of that folder or location. 8.) Finally, go to our site, Sitcomes On-line and make a thread describing what the picture is that you are going to show us. In the body of the message, always give credit to the site and/or person where you got the picture. For security reasons, I don't post the direct link to the site. This means no www in the prefix, I just say something like: "I would like to thank Joe Smith [Person's name] and or leaveittobeaver.com [Site Name] for providing this picture." Than below your composing post, there's a "Manage Attachments" click on that and Browse to the area on your computer where the image is located, if you do not already see it in the folder. It should now be the right size and ready to post. Note that the name and site I gave above are for illustration only. 9.) Click on the "Upload" button. The image will upload, you should see the link below the Composition Screen for your message. 10.) Close the "Manage Attachments" Window 11.) Post your thread with the image attached. I hope this helps! Jack |
