Maybe it's been discussed, but I'm watching the pilot episode and about five minutes in Samantha tries to put a spell on Endora to rid herself of her on her honeymoon (which fails) and there's a spell she uses and it sounds like she says the F word but she has her hands in front of her face so you can't totally tell. She then spells "B-U-C-K" and says "spells Buck" and out goes you! I always thought she said "the word" and then changed it to "buck". If you listen, it sure sounds that way.
Then I watched "Toys in Babeland" in season 4 and there's a part where Sam's trying to turn Tabitaha's stuffed animals (who are people at the time) back into little animals and she uses the same spell....except when she gets to that part, it's changed and she says "rack" and then she says "B-A-C-K spells back" and back goes you. What that proved to me was that there were indeed two different words that sounded similar, "rack" and "back". So did the pilot have "buck" and @uck"??? Tell me I'm wrong. What do you hear when you hear that spell in the pilot? It sure sounds like "the word" to me. But how on Earth could they get away with it, especially in 1964? |

I just listened to that part through an expensive, sensitive set of headphones I have so I could cancel out any ambient noise. No, she definitely says BUCK.

In "Endora meets what's his name" Endora does say the word "asinine" which I'm surprised they got away with that.
