A different show every half hour or hour? How 90's. Now shows air back-to-back for literally 10 straight hours. I can't turn on History without seeing Pawn Stars.

I only got to see TVLand while on vacation back then and it was a treat. By the time my cable got it, the magic had gone. I remember the Retro-mercials, "Twip" and many different shows. I think they ran like 12 hours of shows a day and then re-ran the same episodes at night and ran them on the hour instead of starting at strange times. I miss old TV Land. You can get some of those shows on other channels now, but it isn't the same to me.

I miss the old TV Land. I remember weekday afternoons they aired The Hardy Boys /Nancy Drew Mysteries. And on weekends they would air the lesser known short lived shows.

Yep- TV Land briefly aired The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries around 1999, I believe it was. Being a major fan of the both book series and the show itself, I'm always happy to see this show getting air time somewhere. A number of the ME-TV and Antenna TV type channels have aired this show in the last few years. And now finally all 3 seasons are on DVD (even if Season 3 is edited and not in the best shape- at least it's out there in some format.)

That sounds about right when it aired on TV Land.

I need to pick up the 3rd season still, I guess we should be happy Universal even released it. The first 2 seasons look great though.

I bought "Petticoat Junction" from a seller on ioffer (most, if not all of the episodes were recorded from TV Land) and it reminded me so much of when I used to watch Hooterville Saturday on TV Land. Brought back good memories!

Right now, Amazon has Season 3 down to a little under 20 bucks- and if you want to go with Amazon marketplace sellers, you can get it even cheaper. It's still definitely worth picking up, especially after having waited so long for it. (And by the way, you may already know this, but Shout! Factory actually released Season 3.) Seasons 1 and 2 both look great on DVD, I agree.
Glad to see another fan of the show out there. The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries is always great fun. (I particularly like to watch it on a dark and story night- it always adds to the mood. )

Ohhh, Shout! Factory, well I'm glad they made the cover match the previous 2 seasons.

Yeah, it was one of my favorite shows as a kid, I can remember watching it during it's original run Sunday nights. And it holds up well today.

Yeah- overall, I was very happy with the cover design for Season 3. And though I didn't have the pleasure of watching the show in its original run, I did watch the VHS releases as a kid borrowing them from the library and fell in love with the series from there. (Of course, I was already in love with The Hardy Boys book series- and Nancy Drew to a lesser extent as well.)

I read Hardy Boys, but not Nancy Drew. I do like the 1930's Drew movies.
