"Bates Motel" is Getting a Live After Show

A&E is the latest network to join the After Show craze, announcing a live half-hour post mortem-y companion series to "Bates Motel".

"Bates Motel: After Hours" will debut Monday, March 3 at 11/10c immediately following the series premiere of "Those Who Kill", and one hour after "Bates‘" Season 2 premiere.

The debut installment will feature series stars Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore and Max Thieriot as well as executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin.

We’ve learned exclusively that VH1′s Carrie Keagan has signed on to host "Bates Motel: After Hours". Keagan previously served as host and producer of "Big Morning Buzz Live with Carrie Keagan".

The first episode of the half-hour aftershow will feature executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, as well as actors Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, and Max Thieriot.

"After Hours" will premiere Monday, March 3, at 11 p.m. on A&E, directly after "Those Who Kill" at 10 p.m. and "Bates Motel", which airs at 9 p.m.

that may be, but she SUCKS as a hostess. Her constant nervous giggling, her SHOUTING, her repeated attempts to try and get the cast and crew to divulge season 2 spoilers, and her obsessive fanboi (well, girl) behavior was downright off-putting.

I so agree with you, she really got on my nerves being that loud. And the way she was gushing over every little thing was a big turn-off. She might do better if she tones it down some but otherwise I'll stop tuning in for the after-show.

"Bates Motel: After Hours" Returns for Season Two Finale

A&E is reviving special talk show "Bates Motel: After Hours" for the drama's May 5 finale.

The post-show discussion, which saw a one-off airing timed to the March premiere, will air at 11 p.m. on Monday immediately after the finale of the sophomore series.

Like the original installment, "After Hours" has lined up executive producer Carlton Cuse and the cast (Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Max Thieriot, Nestor Carbonell and Olivia Cooke) for the live special.





The first airing of "After Hours" fared well in the ratings, though it did not get a direct lead-in from its parent series. The March 3 premiere fetched 719,000 viewers after an episode of the now-shuffled "Those Who Kill".

For its part, "Bates Motel" is averaging 4.1 million viewers in the latest live-plus-7 returns. And with 2.4 million adults 18-49, it remains A&E's biggest scripted effort in the key demo.

It's third season will launch in 2015.
