I missed this and one way to find a good wise doctor is word of mouth. Talk to friends and get their info.
While I'm here I'll mention that Vit C taken daily is the best thing we can all do for ourselves...from the very young to Old..... I've been taking it for years and years, mom gave to her little ones and I grew up with it...I take 1000mg+ daily. Spread it out or take at one time. My body likes it., I have not had a cold or flu in 40 yrs+. I take Vit C with bioflavanoids and/or Rose Hips, for an extra boost. And didn't have the covid fears. |

Wild rose hip fruits are particularly rich in vitamin C, containing 426 mg per 100 g[4] or 0.4% by weight (w/w). However, RP-HPLC assays of fresh rose hips and several commercially available products revealed a wide range of L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) content, ranging from 0.03 to 1.3%.[5] Rose hips contain the carotenoids beta-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin and lycopene, which are under basic research for a variety of potential biological roles.[6][7] A meta-analysis of human studies examining the potential for rose hip extracts to reduce arthritis pain concluded there was a small effect requiring further analysis of safety and efficacy in clinical trials.[8] Use of rose hips is not considered an effective treatment for knee osteoarthritis.[9] |
