Game show hostess seems to be one field women don't tend to get into too much, I guess. At least it doesn't seem like I've seen too many...

I didn't know Vicki Lawrence and Betty White had hosted game shows- that's cool! Meredith Viera did a good job on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?

But I think my favorite would have to be Vanna White on "Wheel of Fortune".

Vicki Lawrence was the daytime host of Win Lose or Draw on NBC for two years from 1987 to 1989. Both that and the 1987-1990 Syndicated edition with Bert Convy (Robb Weller hosted the 1989-1990 season) premiered on the same day.

For the record, the Syndicated edition came first, as a pilot for it was taped before the daytime show was even thought of.

Pat Sajak is the host of WOF not Vanna, and Drew Carey (and formally Bob Barker) hosts PIR.

Co-host also counts.

I think Betty White hosted a short-lived show back in the '60's.

Betty White hosted "Just Men" in 1983. It replaced the long running soap opera "The Doctors". It only ran for 3 months because it was in NBC's Noon death time slot. Betty did win an emmy for the show.

I thought Vicki Lawrence was great on Win, Lose or Draw.

I wouldn't even consider her a co-host. She mainly just turns the letters.

If co-hosts (models, etc.) also count, then I would have to say Summer Bartholomew from Jim's $ale. She started the last day of '84, and ran all the way through to the end in 1989.

Oh, it was 1983. But that's the show I was thinking of.

And it was the amazing Betty White that won an Emmy for a game show that lasted 3 months!!!!
