Guardians of the Galaxy is set for theatrical release August 1st

I saw that. I am a fan of comic books in general and certainly Marvel Comics in particular (along with DC, Disney, Archie, Harvey, and the list goes on...lol)- but I'm not real familiar with this Guardians of the Galaxy comic and don't care too much about it. However, while I was only iffy on seeing this movie at first, the trailer has convinced me- this thing looks pretty cool! Particularly if Blue Suede's "Hooked on a Feeling" is in the soundtrack- LOVE that song!

I read marvel comics when I was a kid I never heard of guardians of the galaxy it kind of looks like stars wars or something. i'll probably check it out. I like Chris pine he's one of my favorite actors right now.

I mainly want to see it because it's written and directed by James Gunn. Wasn't the biggest fan of his previous superhero outing 'Super', though that was because Ellen Page annoyed me in it.

Always fun to see a Troma alumni make it big.

Well, the movie is based on the 2008 version of the Guardians of the Galaxy team, so it's a fairly recent comic book. (The team has appeared in alternate versions in Marvel Comics as far back as 1969 though.)
