I've never seen an episode of TCFC and I don't get AntennaTV. My question is, if I buy seasons 1 & 2 on DVD will I be left with a cliffhanger? Is this show like a soap opera? I've always been interested in TCFC but never got around to buying the seasons.

no - its just a straight-up goofy comedy, kinda reminiscent of Three's Company with somewhat silly plot lines and predicaments. If you like Ted Knight you'll probably enjoy the show.

I don't get antenna TV either - I'm hoping that someone who does, records it.

^Thanks for the info! I knew it was a first-run syndicated show like "Mama's Family" but I just always assumed it was a soap like "Mary Hartman". I may try and buy seasons 1-2 if I can find them at a good price...I know they're OOP now.

Maybe Time Life or MPI will release it soon!

The first 3 seasons were on ABC.

It's funny because less than a week before I read the announcement that it was coming back to AntennaTV, I had sent them an e-mail asking them to air it again. They wrote back saying they didn't have the rights to it at that time. I'd like to think my "letter writing campaign" made them change their mind, lol.

I remember seeing it as a kid because my dad was into it and I never realized how some jokes are a bit sexual kind of like Three's Company was in it's early years.

I was able to watch my very first episode of TCFC today! I'm house sitting for a friend who's on vacation and they get AntennaTV. I was so excited to be able to watch this show. I really hope Time Life or another company releases this complete series soon!!

This was one of my favorite shows when I was younger,

I recorded the complete series if anyone wants to trade. I also have the first 2 seasons DVD release.
