Recycled Plot from Season 8: Original Seen Next Week in Daytime - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm not sure about this, but recently I thought I read that one of the Bewitched producers, or maybe a superfan like Herbie Pilato, noticed that a new episode appearing in primetime recycled a plot, and the original plot turned up soon after on ABC daytime. I have a copy of TV Guide dated Feb. 12-18, 1972, and there was a new episode that Saturday night, Feb. 12, "Tabitha's First Day at School", where Tabitha turned a bullying classmate into a bullfrog. The next Monday, Feb. 14, ABC reran an episode where TV Guide's description was "Tabitha bewitches a pesty playmate", which was probably a description of "Playmates" from Season 4, where Tabitha turned a different bullying boy into a dog. I do remember the actresses who played the bullies' mothers on both of these episodes. Peggy Pope played the indulgent pop-psychology mom in "Playmates", and Nita Talbot the long-suffering mom in "Tabitha's First Day at School". These may have only been thematic copies of each other, but they had a lot of resemblance to each other to me, so that person may have been referring to these episodes.

a good number of episodes from the last season were re writes of previous episodes, which makes that season dissapointing.

I knew "Bewitched" recycled many episodes and/or themes, but that was too close for comfort for me!
