Default This episode never aired in syndication but glad to see it's on the DVD

The 1 hour long retrospective of the show that aired toward the end of season which has never been seen in syndication and it's a good enough reason for me to buy season 9 of the show.

Wonder why though since I have seen other retrospectives for other shows in syndication.

If you are referring to the retrospective hosted by Henry Fonda, it has aired in syndication. I think it aired on TBS or TV Land some years ago when they were running the show. However, not all stations air it, but it has aired in syndication.

Thumbs down

Antenna TV shows that episode regularly. I have seen it on other channels over the years, too--it's how the episode is so well-etched into my brain. In fact, the original retrospective was an hour long, and has always been cut into two half-hour episodes in syndication. It uses the dialogue-free bit of the Bunkers and Stivics passing food around the table during the closing credits of both parts.

No the hell Antenna TV didn't air the retrospective from season 9 because I just followed the show 2 weeks ago and never saw it.

I want you banned LOL

Brieannas what you saw on TV LAnd was the BEST OF ALL IN THE FAMILY which was during season 4

The season 9 retrospective had 3 parts to it and was 90 mins long. The Best of All in the Family was only 30 mins long.

Glad I cleared that up

Your OP did not specify a season, but your later posts seem to suggest that it was a program that aired at the end of the 9th season. Please calmly and coherently explain to us about the episode of which you speak. Who was in it, how did it proceed, format, etc.?

This is the episode that aired on TV Land and Antenna TV

Henry Fonda continues to host this retrospective look back at the previous 100 episodes that CBS has aired, taking special look at the relationships and characters of Archie, Edith, Mike and Gloria.

This aired during the 74-75 season

What I am talking about is the retrospective that never aired in syndication which is this below which was hosted by Norman Lear in 1979

This is 1-Hour Special that only airs on CBS-TV. Syndicated by VIACOM and now COLUMBIA TRISTAR DOMESTIC TELEVISION (and now SONY PICTURES TELEVISION) along with NICK-AT-NITE & TV LAND aren't airing this hour-long episode.

yes, Sol's right. I've never seen that one on TV LAND or Antenna TV or even Nick at Nite; I've just seen the hour-long one that was hosted by Henry Fonda.
