Anybody familiar with this athlete?

If so, remember two decades ago that he won the gold on the last moment? Afterwards, he was well-known and in the closing ceremonies he became a flag bearer. Now is a retired athlete is doing well in more better educated business on his alternative job.

I wonder if he is watching this winter Olympics right now?

He is the broadcaster at the games my friend for NBC. Been doing that since 1998! Really an inspiration as saw this back in 1994!
