Danny Coming to Cozi TV - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I read somewhere (probably on this site) that Make Room for Daddy is coming to Cozi TV (they probably have to digitize them first). I saw the season 10 Christmas episode on Cozi during the holidays, and it looked VERY clean! It had te same Danny Thomas Show opener that is on the Season 6 DVD, and what appeared to be the original closing credits. This was from a season that has NEVER been syndicated, so my hopes are that the unseen (for years) episodes from seasons 10 and 11 will finally be shown! Of course, it would also be nice to see seasons 1-4, too! Logic tells me this has to be a different package that is shown on MeTV.

They are on COZI now and they started with the last 4 episodes of Season 4 and Friday start up with Season 5. I can't believe COZI actually played them in episode guide order for once, seems every other series they've had on is played haphazardly, skipping from one season's episode to another each day.

One thing strange, they are showing the Danny show in a widescreen type format. I seriously doubt Danny Thomas show of the '50's was shot widescreen. They must be cutting off the top and bottom of the screen to squeeze a square picture into the rectangle format. The good news is they did actually show 4 episodes of Season 4. Why only the last 4 episodes of Season 4 and not all of them and will they continue to do the right thing and show them in epis. guide order and will they show Seasons 10 and 11 only the inexplicable programmers at COZI can say. And of course, why they chose to chop the show's view into a widescreen format is anybody's guess.

A few days ago I saw the episode done in 1960 with singer Brenda Lee. Wow that girl can sing. It was interesting how he persuaded Brenda's character to get a education before embarking on a show business career.

I'm not Make room for Daddy lover but every once in a while, I tune in.

Me too. Its an ok show although I dont like his wife. She seems like a pain but I like the kids. They get off some good remarks.

I have DISH television, and the Family Entertainment Television changed to COZI yesterday.

I am very excited about seeing Make Room for Daddy again!

Next week's Cozi schedule shows that episodes from season 10 will be shown...I'll believe it when I see it! Seasons 10 and 11 are the 'lost' seasons and haven't been seen since their original broadcast, to my knowledge (except Cozi's showing of a Christmas episode). Too bad they are so heavily edited on Cozi, but we take what we can get!

Cozi TV has only been airing in my area since sometime in August. Make Room For Daddy/Danny Thomas Show also appears on Me TV. I've noticed Cozi seems more scissors-happy and edits quite a bit. The cuts are glaringly obvious since they are running the same episodes within about a week of each other. Cozi's abrupt cuts of Here's Lucy are the most offensive.

I saw quite a few episodes of the 4th season of MRFD on Cozi (in August) and there were more than four shown, at least 10+ that I saw. Several episodes included Mary Wickes, and Danny dated several women.

Hi. I was one of the people who kept begging SFM ENTERTAINMENT( THE SYNDICATOR) to please show seasons 10/11 and they haven't been aired since 1965 summer! I was so happy to finally get my wish in July/August WHEN THESE EPISODES AIRED! The MET-TV package shows the usual episodes from 197-58 and ONLY goes thru the 1961-62 season which ALL the packages that ever aired included!

I'm glad your hard work paid off Howard! I just got Cozi about a month ago and I've been enjoying watching Make Room for Daddy in the evenings. It was one of my favorite shows as a kid watching it on Nick at Nite.
