Cool "The Talk" Celebrates Florence Henderson's 80th Birthday With Brady Bunch Reunion

Link

Here's the story of a lovely lady! The great Florence Henderson turns 80 on Valentine's Day and the CBS Daytime hit The Talk will get a jump on the festivities with an hour devoted to the actress and her classic 1970s sitcom, The Brady Bunch. Airing Thursday, Feb. 13 (2 p.m./ET, 1 p.m. CT/PT), the special episode will reunite Henderson, who played mama Carol Brady, with costars Christopher Knight (Peter), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), Susan Olsen (Cindy) and Barry Williams (Greg). Ann B. Davis (Alice) and Eve Plumb will deliver special videotaped messages to mark Henderson's milestone.

A rep for The Talk tells TV Guide Magazine that the iconic Brady Bunch opening title sequence will be recreated with hosts Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sara Gilbert, Sheryl Underwood and Sharon Osbourne, while the set of the chat show will be transformed into a 1970s living room featuring wood paneling and retro-style furniture. Henderson's costars will share their favorite memories of working with the beloved TV mom and chef Jason Santos will put his spin on that classic Brady dish, pork chops and applesauce.

It's much more than a hunch: We're absolutely certain this tribute is gonna be groovy!

Cool idea! But no Maureen? That's puzzling, and sad.

At most Brady reunions, either Eve or Maureen or both are missing.

After what Maureen wrote in her book about the scanalous sexual affairs among the cast (including her fling with Greg, and Greg's fling with "Mom") it's totally unlikely that she will ever participate in another Brady Bunch reunion.

I've read Maureen's book, and she didn't write anything about "sexual affairs" that hadn't already been written in Barry's book, and probably less about whatever Barry did with Florence, which was nothing but an innocent "date". She made herself look more flawed than anyone else in the cast.

The term “date" noy only means going out together, but experiencimg one another on a physical level.

No, it really doesn't.

Kids of all ages "date"; I don't think we have to assume that every time anyone has a date, they have sex. I know it's becoming more and more that way, but as far as the definition of "date" goes, there doesn't HAVE to be a physical component.

Default I Watched It...

one of the hosts asked about Maureen, and said they reached out to her and she didn't want to take part in it. Barry Williams skirted around it and said it's tough to get everyone together at the same time, and that they're all friends, etc. etc.

I think its Maureen and Eve that are "on the outs".

Maureen was with the cast when they were honored with a TVLand Award, but Eve was missing.

When Susan Olsen appeared on Oprah: Where Are They Now? she indicated that Maureen and Eve don't get along.

She is correct. Maureen confirmed it in an interview back in 2008. I knew they were not speaking but did not realize it has been so long.

At the very end, did you guys see the huge kiss that Barry planted on Florence. Whoa!!!! I bet that caught her (and everyone else) by surprise!

I will rewatch it again. I turned my head for a moment. When I turned it back, it was over. I didn't think it was a big thing. However, since you say otherwise, I'll check it out again.

Not true at all. When I did online dating I went on many dates but none were sexual at all, no kissing either.

Anyway, Maureen stated in another interview that only her and Eve Plumb don't get along. Apparently she made a sexual comment about the two of them as a joke (she mentioned this in another interview)and Eve got mad. However from reading her book I got the feeling they never really got along well or haven't for a long time. It was strange she wasn't there but who knows, maybe she had a drug relapse or something else.
