"B&B's" Bill Spencer Gets Two Racy Digital Novels
Exclusive: Don Diamont Gets Kinky on "The Bold and the Beautiful"
Feb 10, 2014 by Michael Logan Oh, Dollar Bill! CBS's "The Bold and the Beautiful" has moved into the romance-fiction market with two digital novels published by Momentum that focus on Don Diamont's lady-lovin' megamogul character, Bill Spencer. Forbidden Affair has Bill getting sexy with young Steffy Forrester in the rubble of a Los Angeles earthquake, while Collision Course finds him with a bad case of PTSD after surviving the crash of his private plane. Needing psychiatric help, Bill ends up falling for his therapist, Taylor Hayes. "Hey, this stuff happens!" Diamont tells TV Guide Magazine with a laugh. "Life-threatening situations draw people closer, don't they? Disasters lead to romance!" Diamont could be headed toward a disaster of a different kind with an on-air plotline kicking off Feb. 21 that riffs on the erotic, S&M-packed bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey. Yep, our Bill is about to get kinky with, of all people, psycho-villain Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer)! "We're not cable but we certainly take it as far as we can and I don't think there's ever been anything like it in daytime," Diamont says, noting that the sex-with-whips action drew lots of attention at the CBS studio. "Suddenly, our crew seemed to double. I was, like, 'Who are all these people?'" Bill's trip to Freaky Town comes after he goes on a booze bender over the collapse of his romance with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). "He's not getting anywhere in his attempt to win her back and he's a man with needs," says Diamont. "Quinn suddenly shows up at his house. Bill's feeling sexually vulnerable. The party's on! He's gotta get laid and he makes no bones about it." This is no one-night stand in fact there are more sado-sexcapades coming for the duo but don't expect this to blossom into a real relationship. "Bill and Quinn share a past and they share a son, but he wants nothing from her except instant gratification," Diamont says. "He knows she's an obsessive whackjob and this is nothing to him but a booty call but it could open up a Pandora's box of trouble!" http://www.tvguide.com/News/Don-Diam...y-1077488.aspx |
