TV Michael J. Fox Returns To "The Good Wife" after his Titular Show's Cancellation

It's Official: Michael J. Fox Returning to "The Good Wife" for Big Season-Ending Arc
by Michael Ausiello
2/6/14

Michael J. Fox won’t have time to stew over the cancellation of his sitcom — he’s needed back at "The Good Wife", and not just for a one-off guest stint.

TVLine has learned that Fox has closed a deal with the CBS drama to reprise his role as Alicia’s legal nemesis Louis Canning for multiple episodes.

"The Good Wife" continues its fifth season on Sunday, March 9th.

Best news I've heard in a long time. MJF is a great star. His show just wasn't that good. Everyone flops once in a while. He still had 2 great sitcom hits and headlined one of the best movie series of all time. You can't take that away from him and he is great on the Good Wife. I'll be looking forward to his return.

He's really great on The Good Wife. I never watched his show, but I am sorry to hear it has been canceled.

I don't care about The Good Wife, but I'm glad to hear Michael J. Fox is still getting steady acting roles. It's a shame his TV show didn't work out too well, but he shouldn't feel too bad- he's certainly not the first to have a show named after him that tanked.
(The John Laroquette Show, In the Thicke of the Night, The Gregory Hines Show, etc.)

That's true. No one can take away Family Ties or Back To The Future.

Anybody remember The Robert Guiliome show? The star of Benson got his own and failed.

I remember that show. It was mediocre. Even Lucille Ball had a flop show. It happens.

The John Larroquette Show lasted 4 seasons on NBC, but the show didn't have a good ending

This is the first I've heard of MJF's show's cancellation. I love him on The Good Wife. He plays a good jerk, lol. I'll look forward to his storyline.

His show was good at the beginning but it went downhill fast. He's much better on "The Good Wife."
